The great things about the Chappy 2D in GT6: sounds car-like, demonstrates progressive loss of grip, works great on the 'Ring. The not great things about the 2D: its modeling.

Is there less gear whine? I loved the sound of the small-block Chevy but it was overpowered by that annoying whine. I'm not amused they've failed to update its modeling after being in the GT series for 3 games now.

Actually, gear whine is pretty much the only sound the car makes aside from the horn.
I find it's more fun to pretend I'm driving a Howmet TX because they look similar and the car sounds so much like it's powered by a turbine.

It's not like Chapparal is around for them to do high-resolution scans of a car model.

One of my GT6 favs.

The cars are still around, maintained in a museum in Texas and regularly brought out to events.

What I mean is that the company isn't there to pay for them to give the scans. There's no monetary incentive for it.

Well something must have happened since the 2E appears in Forza 5 just fine.
Maybe the money goes to the museum?
